About Dipti
Hi, I'm Dipti and I've been tutoring math and science for 10 years privately. I have taught middle school, high school, college, and graduate students in math and science as well as SAT and other standardized test prep. Physics is one of my favorite things to explain to struggling students!
I graduated from the University of Connecticut with my undergraduate degree in Chemistry and from Brown University with my Masters in Urban Education. I have worked with students who already had a strong knowledge base to strengthen their understanding as well as students who were struggling to cover gaps and build a foundation for further learning.
I have seen students increase SAT math scores of 200 points and middle school students increase 4 grade levels during the course of a year (when measured against the national standard). However, I believe that learning goes deeper than performance on a test, where the more important measure of success is a through understanding of the material covered. Translating my passion for science and math to current students excites me, because being excited about math and science builds an appreciation for subject matter that creates a lasting base from which to continue learning!
