About Giulianna

I am a substitute teacher in the Berkeley County school system so I've got lots of experience in classrooms working with the content that kids are learning in school now.

I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017 and I will begin Graduate School at UC Santa Cruz this fall. My GRE Score was in the 90th percentile in Verbal and the 67th percentile in Quant.

I like working with kids of all ages. The best part about substitute teaching is that every day is different and I get to work with lots of different subjects. But I also enjoy going deep into a subject and trying to understand it from every angle.

As a subsitute teacher, I spent a month teaching 2nd grade, two weeks teaching kids with learning disabilities, several days teaching algebra and more. I am very adaptable.

About the lesson

I think the best way to learn is by making mistakes. While studying to take the GRE, I realized that the best method was to take practice test and then correct my mistakes. This is one of the ways that I like to help students. I teach students that mistakes are okay, they are actually great. Once you make a mistake once, you don't make it again.

As a substitute teacher, I have worked with students of all abilities; students who just needed some one on one help and students with learning disabilities.

Betty

She was wonderful to work with. She is very knowledgeable and her attitude is very positive and just an overall nice person. I would recommend her to work with any grade.
