About Toby
I taught a range of subjects (including English) to children in Bahia, Brazil when I was living there. I also have taught English to adults online, through the websites italki.com and conversationexchange.com. I also have taught Spanish to Adults in my local area when I was living in Newcastle upon Tyne.

I pride myself on having a results-oriented but relaxed and not too serious teaching style. I simply focus in on the main things that my student is struggling with and then give them practice exercises, based on what tends to come up in English exam papers. I look to create an environment where my student can feel safe to make mistakes and to ask any questions that might arise for them. I believe this is very important for improvement. The main age groups I teach are students that are about to take their 7+ or 11+ entrance exams. As previously mentioned, I originally taught English language to Children in Brazil.
