About Erika
I have been teaching Spanish for 15 years and I love working with students. It is a very gratifying job that I enjoy very much. I like to explain students that learning a second language is not difficult and I use fun ways to present grammar and vocabulary. I am a native Spanish speaker who studied Education in Chile. I am writing bilingual short stories and hope to publish my first book soon!
Language is power, if you can speak at least two languages, many doors will open for you. I enjoy helping students to discover that Spanish is a beautiful language to learn and if we dedicate time and some effort, they will speak it too!
I studied Teaching in Chile and had my own business for 13 years in Reno, NV. I currently teach adults who need Spanish for traveling. I also organize groups to socialize and practice Spanish.

I have a Diagnostic Test/Assessment so I find out the Spanish skills level of the student: beginner, intermediate or advanced. During the first hour I explain to them what we will do. If it's school or college tutoring, we focus on the content that has been given to them. If the student is a professional, I have different content for health care professionals, attorneys, hospitality workers, HR, etc...
