Experienced tutor in Piano in Bolingbrook, Dhilanthi fernando offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

We met for the first time Dhilanthi at Geneva English School in Genthod (Switzerland) and my son started his first piano lessons with her. We are very fortunate to have a teacher who has been able to teach piano with a lots of love and passion. You are very Lucky to have Dhilanthi with you in Boston.

Dhilanthi was an excellent piano teacher who taught my son for several years. He very much enjoyed his lessons with her. She developed his technique but also his passion for music and his expression. I would unreservedly recommend her as a piano teacher.

Mrs. Fernando is an excellent piano teacher. She has a vast knowledge in music; I studied under her and passed 5 levels of music theory and 7 piano grade exams given by ABRSM (The Royal Schools of Music). If you are a beginner she can definitely teach you all the technical skills, rhythm and theory you need. If you are an advanced player she is definitely a superb musician who can critique complex pieces, play accompaniment, duets or help you appreciate the complexities of great music. We played mainly classical music together, but she can teach the base skills needed to play and appreciate any piece of music.

Ms Dhilanthi is the best piano teacher I ever had. She has a solid music foundation and guides me through piano techniques and musical theories. I enjoy every lesson with her.

Over the last four years, Ms. Fernando has taught piano and music theory to both my sons. As a music student at ChiArts High School, my older son greatly benefited from her teaching. Ms. Fernando has combined a well-structured college preparatory curriculum with a personal attitude of encouragement and support. For a teenager aspiring to continue with professional music studies, she was truly the perfect teacher! My younger son has been taking private piano lessons with Ms. Fernando. He enjoys playing and singing, but does not aspire to a professional music career. He too has greatly benefited from Ms. Fernando's wide-ranging knowledge and experience. The instruction he receives from Ms. Fernando includes a classical piano curriculum with a focus on skills, expression, and understanding of musical theory. At the same time, Ms. Fernando is also helping him develop his personal musical interests, encouraging him to experiment with composition, and truly supports his creativity.
Ms. Fernando is an exceptional and wonderful teacher. She is kind and encouraging. You or your child (of any age) will truly enjoy studying with her!
