About Music
Hello! My name is Mrs. Bankesie, founder of Music Waves Piano and Voice. I am a dedicated music educator with experience teaching students in both traditional and virtual learning environments. I am passionate about helping students develop their musical abilities while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
Throughout my career, I have worked with K–12 students for 9+ years, designing engaging lessons that meet the unique needs of each learner. My teaching approach combines patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction to help students succeed at their own pace.
I specialize in:
Beginner Piano Instruction
Beginning Voice Lessons
Homeschool Music Instruction
Online Music Education
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring music, asking questions, and celebrating their progress. Whether a student is learning piano, developing their singing voice, or fulfilling homeschool fine arts goals, I strive to make learning both enjoyable and meaningful.
I believe every student can learn and grow through music, and I look forward to helping each learner reach their full potential.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe music education should be engaging, accessible, and inspiring. By combining strong musical foundations with creative learning experiences, I help students develop the skills and confidence needed to become independent musicians and lifelong learners.
Music teaches more than notes and rhythms. Through consistent practice, goal setting, problem-solving, and perseverance, students develop habits and skills that extend beyond music and support success in many areas of life. My goal is to help students grow not only as musicians but also as confident learners who develop the skills, curiosity, and resilience needed for lifelong success.
