I am recent graduate of Adelphi University's Music Program. I am recipiant of a music talent scholarship and Exemplary Dedication and Discipline in Music award. I have a love of classical flute and I hope to empart that onto my students. I am classically trained however, I have experience in all grade levels of flute performance. I can also teach basic piano, music composition and theory.

I am new to teaching and I am bringing all of my fresh knwoledge from college and from my junior and senior capstone projects.  My college education has fostered in me for a love for performing and teaching music.

I have Bachelor of Science in Music Performance with a Concentration in Instrumental Performance.

Typically, for a beginning musician, I would start the basics of holding the flute, using particular mouth expressions in order to make sound, and start with basic notes.  For the advanced students, I would work with them on any types of pieces they would like to learn but I also have a repetoire that I could utilize.  For piano, I would teach them basic finger placements, notes, scales and chords.  I can also teach beginning theory to high school and college students.

I am new to teaching and welcome students of all ages.

The best advice I have is to select a tutor that you click with.  Work with that theacher that you feel a connection with as well as one that has excitement and love for their instrument and playing.

My capstone project at Adelphi was an hour performance that I arranged myself.  I played various pieces of classical flute as well as modern folk music.  I sang with an accompanying pianist and guitarist.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider their expertise level and have a vision of where they see themselves in the future.  Students should consider if possible the current needs for school or any performances that they need to work at.
