About Mary
I teach students of all ages and abilities who have various reasons for learning to play the piano and/ or to sing .
I have a reputation for success in working with special needs children.
I enjoy helping adults fulfill their desire to finally learn to play the piano or to improve their singing in order to join a community or a church choir.
I also prepare students for college or NYSSMA auditions.
Some of my former students have become professional musicians or teachers; others have enjoyed being able to play or sing for their own enjoyment.
I have been teaching and performing for 55 years. I earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Eduacation at SUNY Fredonia where I also serve as a collaborative pianist for vocal students.
