About Natalie
I began playing the piano at the at of 6, with my mom's encouragement to try something new (my real interest was in following my older cousin's footsteps). From that day forward, I found a passion that would dramatically impact my life for years to come. Mrs. Kim was my first teacher. She gave me an incredible foundation for everything I would come to learn. And most importantly, she inspired me. Though her expectations were high, it was an expectation I longed to meet. We were eventually seperated by her moving, but not without her having made a huge impact on my future as a pianist. I've had the opportunity to hone my craft by learning under many accomplished pianist, playing for many different events and musical celebrations. Teaching followed naturally and I've had the priviledge of watching incredible children grow to be beautiful artists. I focus heavily on musical theory and a structured program of reading music, later incorporating playing by ear. Since every students learns at a different pace, I'm careful to modify my teaching as we progress. I relocated to TN from AR in 2016 and I'm ready to begin teaching once again. Please reach out if you'd like more information!
