About Samantha
Hola! My name is Samantha and I am a Spanish teacher! I have been speaking Spanish for over 20 years and have taught all ages and grade levels from Kindergarten through High School. I can assist in a wide variety of levels including beginners, higher levels, AP/IB courses, literature and language-based courses, etc. Below are my credentials:
* Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, University of Southern California
* California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish, California State University, Long Beach
* Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, Western Governors University
I have been speaking Spanish for over 20 years and, as a non-native speaker, I have learned the language in many different formats. I can better understand how challenging it is to learn Spanish, as I learned it as a student myself.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Southern California, my California Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Long Beach, and my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

My first goal is to get to know the student and then assess their Spanish level. After I've determined our starting point, I can then create a personalized plan to help the student achieve their goals.
I have worked with all ages and grade levels from Kindergarten through High School.
I would advise the student to find a teacher with a personality that they get along with and one that understands what the student's goals are.
I just had my second baby in March of 2020, as the worldwide pandemic set it, and I am so lucky to have 2 healthy kids!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should always be allowed to ask a teacher about their needs and trust that the teacher will be there to support them through their learning.
