About Michael
Hi! I’m Michael Santostefano, a dedicated educator with a background in journalism and a passion for helping students unlock their potential. I try to bring creativity and structure to every session, whether we’re tackling math problems, improving writing skills, or building confidence. Outside of tutoring, I love working with typewriters, exploring local history, and sharing my love of language through writing and storytelling. I tutor English reading/writing (all grades), math (up to Algebra 2), and test prep (SAT, ACT, GED, SSAT/HSPT/ISEE), creating personalized lessons tailored to each student's style of learning. What I love most about tutoring is watching students gain confidence as they master challenging concepts and see their grades improve. I believe in keeping parents abreast of their child's progress and maintaining open communication with teachers to ensure success both in tutoring sessions and in the classroom. Currently finishing my Journalism degree at Emerson.
