About Lily
I am a Yale undergraduate with 7+ years of experience tutoring across a wide range of subjects and student ages. I am confident that I can help you reach your learning goals, too.
I graduated as the valedictorian of my high school and earned national recognition as a 2021 US Presidential Scholar. Throughout high school, I tutored middle school students and my peers, oversaw learning initiatives in the community, and volunteered with the AmeriCorps non-profit Reading Partners.
At Yale, I am earning a degree in Applied Mathematics and French, I tutor for two calculus courses, and I serve as an academic coach for a summer math program. I also tutor privately in French, college advising (including for a Harvard-bound student), music theory, standardized test prep, and more.

I have always loved learning and helping people, so tutoring is a natural passion of mine. Over time, I have honed my ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles. Ultimately, my goal is to provide personalized tutoring that gives a complete understanding of the material. I believe that this way of learning, instead of rote memorization, makes the content enjoyable and applicable to future courses, tasks, or assessments.
I tutor all ages and skill levels, across a range of subjects. These include mathematics from algebra, calculus, differential equations, and everything in between; college advising and standardized test prep; French from the beginner to advanced intermediate level; piano and music theory; and so much more. There is no set lesson plan that I apply to all students; instead, I use a combination of pedagogical techniques based on each student's unique needs.
