About Sarah

Hello all! I have been a tennis player for 12 years now, my journey actually started Brussels, Belgium when I was just 9 years old. My coach and I had worked together for almost 5 years before relocating back to the States where I have played ever since. I am passionate about tennis but I also like to have fun with my students because, it makes training engaging and curates trust without judgement.

Like I said previously I love working with people. I love to have fun and encourage those who are seeking to become better players, because I have been in the exact same boat. Similar to most players I enjoy the sport because we can be outside, get some fresh air, and do some drills. Which is not only fun when you have the right coach but benefitical to your health and lifestyle!

I was asked by a neighbor if we could play together one day just for fun and she later on asked if I did lessons.. At the time I was a freshman in College and worked 3 jobs. I said yes but could only give lessons once a week however, she started to recommend me to her friends and their children which is when I finally quit 2/3 of my current jobs and coached tennis.

I have been trained by some of the best coaches who have taught me imparative skills that have helped me train other great players. Most of my training was done in Belgium where my coach Yannick taught me the basics and later on how to stratigically play. Then I moved to Roswell where I was a Varisty player all four years of Highschool and captain of my team from years 2016-2018. I have great leadership skills that can help many students "come out of their shell" as I am considered to be enthusatic. After High School I continued to play and train younger students for the past 3 years.

First I like to meet my students on the court and introduce myself, have some icebreakers etc. I can be more of a coach when needed or a friend too, I look at tennis as a sport where one must be comfrotable with his or her coach to succeed. Then, I like to stretch out all of our muscles following up with some drills like running and footwork to get us warmed up. Afterwards, we play!

I have coached men and women between the ages of 30-40 who were a part of various country club teams. I have also trained young children between the ages of 5-15.

Patience is key. You're not going to learn this over night, but with the proper skills and stratgical input you can succeed! Tennis is one of the sports that you play for life, I know from experience. Also have fun with it, because once you loose interest or undergo what I call "rotten coaching" you can totally disenage from the sport. Again, this is a very enjoyable sport and I feel like most people take it very seriously which is fine but, can also really mess with your "mojo".

If were talking about sports I'm a huge Braves fan.. So lets talk about how we beat the Cubs! WHOOP WHOOP! If not, then lets obviously talk about tennis. I feel like tennis players are very giving and loving people. Dramatic? Yes.. Intense? Of course. But off court I love the dynamic that players have with the people who look up to them. As a young girl I always looked up to Serena and while living in Belgium (a tennis player's fantasy) I got to live my dream and attend Wimbleton and watch THE Novak Djokovic. Back to the recent event I am fond of, would have to be Federer giving a collection of personal items for auction at Christies to raise money for his Foundation. He raised more than £1.3 million to support the foundation’s work in Southern Africa and Switzerland.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
- What they are you trying to achieve?

- Do you have any specific goals that you want to reach? If so, what is the time period we are looking for.

- Do you have any health issues? - If so let your coach know so we can work around them.

It all depends on the student. If he or she is just looking to play and have someone conduct drills, more for leasure play, my pricing tends to be lower ($30 an hour), this goes for younger children bewteen the ages of 5-10 as well. However if your child 11 or up I charge $40, this goes for adults as well.
