About Jenny
Hello! I am a UniMelb international student from the States, where my base university is the University of Virginia. My majors are Economics and Anthropology, so I have developed a diverse skill set in mathematics, data analysis, reading comprehension, and writing. I also have work experience in ethnographic research, AI application development, and web design. Personally, I struggled a lot in the beginning of high school with academics, so I understand what it's like to feel behind. I was able to turn things around and achieve a full score on the SAT, pass all my AP exams, and maintain a 3.928 GPA at university. I want to pass on learning strategies from my personal experience and professional teaching background and uplift every student to their highest potential.

I personalize my teaching methods according to the student's learning style. Typically, I start with a diagnostic assessment of students' strengths and weaknesses, then planning my lessons to focus on areas for improvement. Lessons can be 45 min to 2 hours, depending on student preference.
I provide intermittent assessments to track student progress and adapt my teaching methods, which have proven to increase student scores. My former students saw their SAT scores increase by 100 to 300 points and HS entrance exam scores increase by 10 to 35 percent in just 2-week sessions.
I prioritize supportive relationships with my students. I want to not only increase their scores but also their confidence in problem-solving, tackling difficult questions, and writing.
