About Tamaiya
Hi All!
I am Tamaiya and have been creating music since I could talk. My violin journey since the age of 5 with now 22 years in the classical world. I attend The School for Creative and Performing Arts with a focus on instrumental and vocal music. I have a Bachelor of Music from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
I've been blessed to have had many opportunities to play in beautiful spaces locally such as Music Hall, The Taft Museum, The Freedom Center. Nationally, I've competed in Salt Lake City, Oberlin OH and have performed at Carnegie Hall at the age of 15. In 2017 I was privileged to be the principal 2nd violinist on an international music tour in Ireland in 2017.
As I begin building my own music studio post-undergrad, my goals as your potential teacher are to help you feel confident in your growing abilities, take risks in your playing and development in any genre, and create your own individualized lesson plans according to your needs.
