About Michael
I am a linguist and tutor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. My personal view about language learning is that students excel when they feel engaged and are having fun.
My own interests include cooking, hiking, movies, music and reading. I am very interested in Spanish culture and history, and will be happy to share what I've learned over the years.

I take a student-led approach that is based on your needs and adapted to your goals and preferred style of learning. Lessons are based around the AQA GCSE curriculum and are designed to help you acquire the knowledge you need to pass your exams in a fun, enjoyable and engaging way that will hopefully also ignite and fuel your passion for language learning.
Lessons are typically 50 minutes in length and my primary focus is on GCSE tutoring, however I can also offer classes to adult beginners and intermediate learners, and to students pursuing an A Level in Spanish.
I have ample experience as a linguist and a teacher, including two years of teaching abroad and many years teaching Spanish at Queen's University, Belfast.
