About Amelia
I am an experienced Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of teaching and an MPhil in Mathematics. My approach goes beyond formulas and equations—I focus on reducing math anxiety and building confidence in learners of all ages. I believe every student has the potential to succeed, and I use growth mindset techniques to help them embrace challenges rather than fear them. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, ensuring they fully understand concepts before moving forward. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in Mathematics while preparing students for high-stakes tests like SAT, GRE, and GMAT. I emphasize understanding core concepts in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. Alongside theory, I guide students in efficient problem-solving techniques under time pressure. We work together to identify common pitfalls and mistakes, ensuring they are avoided during exams. I use targeted drills and practice tests to strengthen speed, accuracy, and confidence. Strategy development is a key part of our sessions, helping students approach questions smartly and systematically. I make complex topics simple and relatable with real-life examples when needed. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s current level and learning style. I pay special attention to exam patterns and time management strategies. We track progress continuously and adjust our approach to maximize results. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore solutions creatively. By the end of the sessions, they feel confident and ready to excel. My goal is to support them in achieving high scores and mastering Mathematics effectively.
