About Yara
I am a dedicated guitar teacher with a Diploma of Music, specializing in guitar, and over twelve years of experience coaching students. I’ve helped learners prepare for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. My teaching style is both encouraging and focused, making sure every student feels confident and supported. I believe that great playing is about more than just hitting the right notes. That’s why I emphasize stage presence, helping students feel comfortable and natural in front of an audience. I also encourage creative freedom, so students can express their own unique style through their music. My lessons combine technical skill-building with musical excellence. We work on tone, timing, and technique, while also exploring ways to make music feel personal and exciting. Whether you’re preparing for a big audition or just want to improve your playing, I tailor each lesson to your goals. I’m passionate about helping students grow as musicians and performers. Together, we build confidence and skill, preparing you to shine both on stage and in the studio.

My teaching approach is built around helping each student find their own voice on the guitar. I focus on building strong technical skills, like finger strength and timing, while also encouraging creativity and personal expression. Whether you want to play classical pieces, jazz, blues, or acoustic songs, I guide you through different genres to become flexible and confident.
I believe learning guitar is not just about practice but about feeling the music and telling your story. We work on techniques that improve your playing smoothly, such as strumming patterns, scales, and improvisation. I also help students understand music theory in simple ways, so they can compose and create their own music.
I support those who love storytelling through their music, helping them bring out deep emotions in every note. For students drawn to soulful blues or rhythmic campfire songs, I offer focused guidance to help them master these styles without losing their unique touch. My lessons are always tailored to each learner’s pace and goals.
Above all, I make learning fun and inspiring. Together, we build a strong foundation and explore the joy of playing guitar in a way that feels natural and exciting.
