About Beckett
"With 11 years of tutoring experience and over 15000 students taught, I specialize in helping high school and college students, as well as adults, learn piano in ways that feel modern, flexible, and enjoyable. My lessons are creative and open-minded. I include a mix of traditional techniques and modern tools, such as backing tracks, apps, and recordings to make practice more engaging. I also use popular music and personal song choices to keep lessons connected to the student’s life. Each student gets a customized path. If a student wants to write their own songs, I support their creativity. If they prefer structure and reading sheet music, I guide them with clear steps. I believe in learning through doing—students get to play, explore, and ask questions often. One of the most exciting moments in my teaching was when a group of college students I taught recorded their own mini concert for friends and family. It showed me how music can bring people together, even when they’re learning remotely or on different schedules. With support, creativity, and a little fun, anyone can make music a part of their life."

"No two learners are alike, and that’s why I teach piano using a method that centers around Compassion, Integrity, and Adaptability. With 11 years of experience and over 15000 students taught, I’ve found that these values make learning more effective and more human.
Compassion helps me understand each student as a whole person. I know that frustration, fear, and self-doubt can all appear during lessons. That’s why I teach in a way that builds trust and keeps stress low — so students feel free to explore, try, and grow.
Integrity ensures that lessons are always meaningful. I give each student my full focus, with personalized plans and honest feedback. I explain not just the “how,” but also the “why” behind each concept. My goal is to make sure students truly understand and can apply what they’ve learned.
Adaptability allows me to meet students where they are. Some love classical, others prefer jazz, pop, or original compositions. I change the tools and path based on what excites you most. I use a blend of technique, ear training, and creative exercises to make lessons dynamic and personalized.
I also offer help in theory, reading music, and performance prep. Whether you want to pass an exam or just enjoy your favorite tunes, I’ll help you get there in a way that feels right and rewarding."
