About Sonja
Hello! My name is Sonja, and I am a fifth-year student at the University of Adelaide, on course to completing a double degree in International Relations and Arts (majoring in English literature) with a GPA of 6.5.
Graduating from high school with a raw score ATAR of 97.35 and a recipient of the University of Adelaide's Principals' Scholarship, I undertook law for 3 years before I fell into my passion for teaching.
Though I am a passionate about learning and teaching, I also know how daunting senior high school can be, with all the pressure and challenges that come with it. So no matter your year level or capabilities, shoot me a message and I would love to discuss how I can help you out! :)

A jack of all trades of sorts, I teach junior secondary Japanese (up to year 10), ancient/modern history and politics (year 7 to 12), legal studies (year 10-12), English (all levels year 1-12).
I also offer drafting services for year 12 SACE essays.
Lessons can be conducted online via zoom, or in your home, typically 1 - 1:30hrs in length, depending on the needs of the student.
My teaching methodology aims to provide strategies / scaffolds for writing essays, to generate ideas & get students to engage with the assignments, rather than doing the work for the student. My goal is always to help students feel comfortable and confident with engaging with course materials, to give them the tools they need to tackle current and future assignments.
