"Music theory provides the hidden framework that makes every complex progression understandable. I confess that I spent years struggling with strumming patterns until I found a more systematic way to explain them. My lessons break down tuning and maintenance so you feel confident handling your instrument. We work through a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high for all grade exam candidates.
These sessions are designed for adults and hobbyists who want to play with genuine fluency. I draw on 13 years of experience to solve common hurdles with fingerpicking. You will learn to listen as much as you learn to play. Building a consistent routine is truly the most enjoyable part of the journey."

"Guitar playing involves a mixture of physical memory and deep theoretical understanding. I have taught 238 students over 13 years of experience. My background as a holder of an MMus Vocal Studies degree informs how I approach rhythm and ear training even for non-vocalists. I often help returning learners revisit barre chords and power chords with fresh perspective.
My personal narrative includes preparing musicians for conservatoire auditions and managing complex grade exam requirements. I find that teaching reading tabs remains a vital skill for hobbyists and adults alike. You can expect a patient approach that values your progress over speed."
