About Elana
I graduated from Durham University in English Literature (first class with honours), and went on to complete my postgraduate Law conversion course and Bar Professional Training Course (City, University of London), aiming to ultimately become a barrister.
I achieved A*s at A Level in English Literature, History and Latin, an A for Religious Studies at AS Level, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE.
I have much experience as a voluntary youth leader with children aged 4-18, including with English as a second language (with refugees and whilst teaching English at a Chinese summer camp). I have also been involved in peer mentoring schemes during university. These experiences mean that I am comfortable working with people of all ages.

I would love to help others get the support they need. I was fortunate to go to school and university where I was academically stretched as well as found a true love for the subjects I studied, whilst gaining fantastic transferable skills which have helped me in my pursuit of career in Law.
I believe it's integral to understand what my students need help with and what they want to get out of the lessons, so I would first spend some time getting to know you and reading through examples of your work in order to work out the areas that need the most attention e.g. grammar, writing style, analysing texts.
