About Aimee
I am a third year history student at the University of Manchester. I believe that being able to teach others is not only fun and exciting role, with opportunities for creativity to flow, but also one with so much mutual gain. When I was at school, having a tutor was so helpful - it gave me confidence, it calmed me down when I experienced topics in lessons that I found overwhelmingly difficult, as my own tutor broke everything down at my own pace. I want to help another student in that way and help them on the right track to achieving the best grade or result they can, be it through breaking down concepts and working on revision techniques, or simply making you feel confident enough to delve into a topic you would initially shy away from.

I would like to pinpoint the things you struggle with and go at them together, slowly. I like to start each lesson with a fun exercise to get warmed up, and finish with a refresher activity that recaps everything covered. With the higher level students, I believe looking at past-paper questions and analysing excerpts together are great methods, and in my opinion, very beneficial revision techniques. As well, I like to ask you what you liked or disliked about the session, so I can adapt the next ones. Lessons can be as long and short as you like, but typically not going over 1 hour.
I can teach students of KS3 level, to GCSE and A Level, as a third year history student who studied English and History at A Level and received A-A*. I have tutored previously, in my first year of university and became a peer mentor for my history faculty in my second year.
