About Andrew
My name is Andrew and I hold a First Class degree in Sociology and achieved an A grade in A Level Sociology. It is my strong belief that anyone can succeed in studying Sociology, and it is a privilege to help students gain an interest in the subject and importantly, achieve excellent results in their A Level Sociology examinations. This will set them up well to unlock the opportunity they have planned for post-18, whether that is university, an apprenticeship or the workplace.
I am passionate about Sociology and the value that knowledge of sociological theories, concepts and using a sociological imagination can hold. Sociology is all round us, but often overlooked. The structures and institutions that hold society together, and sometimes divide us or create unequal outcomes - this is what Sociology seeks to understand. In order to bring about change in the world, we can utilise Sociological investigation and analysis to understand the social problems present in the world, to aid the devising of solutions.

In teaching sessions lasting an hour or two hours, I provide assistance, support and advice for Year 12 and Year 13 A Level Sociology students. I help students understand the content including Sociological concepts and theories by breaking them down into easily understandable words and using examples. I aid students in understanding how to write answers to examination questions using answer templates and structures. I assist students in memorising the examination content including concepts, theories and studies. I hold a First Class degree in BA Sociology and have experience providing A Level Sociology tutoring. I support students of all levels or current grade attainment, and believe that everyone is capable of success in their exams with the right support for them.
