About Saskia
Hi! My name is Saskia, and I am a first year English Studies student at Trinity. I absolutely adore literature, and want to become an English teacher. Ever since I was young, I would read to my siblings and help all of my friends with their essays. Later on I continued this through tutoring in school and volunteering at the library. I have always aimed to help people not dread English and to find joy in the subject. Literature should not be a burden, but a source of inspiration. I know its not for everyone, but if you choose me as a tutor I promise I will help it to not be a subject that causes as much fear and stress.

I truly believe teaching is a two person job. I do not want our lessons to be me lecturing, but a journey that both student and teacher take together. I will want you to tell me what you would like to get out of tutoring and where you struggle most. Once you share what you're working on in school, I will craft a lesson plan involving workshops, discussions about the texts, and whatever might be necessary to alleviate stress levels surrounding your English classes. My tutoring sessions are intended for students ages 10 to 15. As for my experience, throughout high school I was a tutor for essay writing and I also volunteered at the local library assisting students with reading comprehension. My lessons will be one hour once or twice a week depending on the student's needs, and will cost 15 euro per session.
