About Margaret
As an ESL tutor with 7 years of experience, I have worked with more than 150 high school and college students, helping them build strong English skills for academic success and everyday communication. My teaching philosophy emphasises creativity, communication, and individualised instruction. I believe that every student learns differently, so I design lessons tailored to their goals, interests, and learning styles. My classes are interactive and practical, combining reading, writing, listening, and speaking exercises with role-plays, discussions, and real-life examples. I focus on helping students develop confidence, critical thinking, and the ability to express themselves clearly in English. Many students who were once hesitant speakers have gone on to excel in exams, presentations, and academic writing. I aim to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to succeed.

My ESL teaching methodology focuses on balanced learning to help students gain fluency. I develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills equally while teaching grammar and vocabulary in a clear and practical way. Communication is encouraged in every class through conversations, listening exercises, role plays, and writing tasks. Flexibility allows lessons to adapt to individual learning pace, goals, and style. Creativity keeps classes engaging through storytelling, visuals, discussions, and interactive activities. Along with ESL, I teach related subjects such as Spoken English, Business English, Academic Writing, Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills, and Interview Skills. Accountability helps students stay consistent and track their progress. Integrity guides my teaching with honesty, patience, and care. My goal is to help learners use English confidently and effectively.
