About Koa
I am a passionate flute tutor dedicated to helping students develop musical skill, creativity, and confidence. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control, while also encouraging self-expression. Lessons include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. Creativity is an important part of my approach, with improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling included in every class. I help students set goals, stay disciplined, and track their progress. Mistakes are treated as natural learning opportunities, not setbacks.
I adapt lessons to each student’s abilities, interests, and learning style. I act as a mentor, guiding, motivating, and supporting students in every session. My flute teaching philosophy is to combine creativity with responsibility. I believe every student learns best in a positive, engaging environment. Mistakes are used as tools for growth. I focus on helping students find their own sound and style. I guide them to understand music deeply, not just play correctly. My goal is to build independent, confident, and creative musicians who truly love music.
