About Otis
I am a dedicated flute tutor who believes every student can develop skill, confidence, and creativity. My teaching combines mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability to guide students effectively. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while nurturing expressive musicality. Lessons also include music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises for well-rounded musicianship. Creativity is central to my teaching, with improvisation, composition, and musical exploration included in every session. Creativity makes each lesson unique and enjoyable. I also teach related subjects like rhythm, theory, and performance skills. My approach helps students become confident, independent, and expressive musicians who truly enjoy their journey.
