About ALVARO
I am a sociologist and lawyer and have been a university professor for more than 30 years, as well as an administrative judge, and I have written several books on legal topics that are used in Colombia as reference books for lawyers. One of my great satisfactions is to have contributed with my teachings in the personal, academic and professional formation of hundreds of lawyers in my country.
And in February 2024 I have just received a Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language DE-ELE, awarded by the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Medellin, Colombia, in association with the Cervantes Institute of Spain.

I am comfortable with the conversational method, as native languages are learned. A typical class starts with the suggestion of a topic, fruits, for example, and from there the class builds, making sure it is as enjoyable as possible. For this, if possible, real fruits, images, songs and videos are used. What is sought is the appropriation of vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as the context of its use.
What distinguishes me as a teacher is my passion for teaching and honesty in the teacher-student relationship, which involves making sure that the student actually achieves the objectives proposed in each lesson.
I would love to help you acquire the basics of Spanish conversation and writing, and if you already have them, I would love to help you improve them, whether for social purposes only or for academic, literary, or technical purposes.
