About Royce
I am a former country club sous chef with over a decade of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. I have a wide range of hobbies and interests. I love people and animals! I love learning and mastering new things. I have been teaching others since I was in the Peer Assistance and Leadership program in elementary school. I have taught over 100 people how to cook in a professional kitchen setting and even more casually at home. I love helping people understand things and learning things myself along the journey. I am very patient and can adjust to any learning style. I am very proud of my accomplishments, and hold myself and others to a high standard. I decided to transition into remote work because I am newly married and looking to start my family!

I use a blended approach to tutoring that combines live video chat for real-time feedback, personalized Canva slide decks, clear step-by-step instructions or “recipes,” and engaging video demonstrations. Each lesson begins with defined learning objectives and key term explanations, proceeds through the custom slides and demonstration, and concludes with a video‐chat check‐in to monitor progress and answer questions. With many years of hands-on cooking experience across diverse settings—as well as years spent training and managing learners of all ages—I bring both subject‐matter expertise and proven teaching skills. I’m passionate, reliable, patient, and kind, and I tailor my lessons for anyone eager to cook: from hobbyists seeking fun recipes to aspiring chefs mastering technical skills or improving their everyday cooking.
