I base my classes on the students understanding of the subject. Sometimes they need to hear it in another way to be able to understand.
Finding out exactly where the student is on their understanding of the subject/assignment helps to guide further lessons. I’m of the belief that there is no point in pushing a student forward if they are not going to be able to try their best due to lack of understanding.
