About Brinkley
In short, I love literature, and I love passing that on to kids. Over the course of my career, I taught a variety of courses in both the public and private school setting, including Pre-AP English Literature, British Literature, American Literature, and AP Literature and Composition. I also helped implement a vertically aligned writing curriculum within the English Department.

I love teaching kids how to analyze literature and how to turn that analysis into writing with clear and distinct voice. I can help students with all that the analytical writing process entails: vocabulary, syntax, grammar, and, of course, analysis. I especially love poetry and helping kids feel less daunted by it! If you have a middle or high school student in need of some writing help, I offer an approachable and anxiety-free method to written analysis. I can also help students with college essay writing!
