About Michael
I am a former community college English instructor with over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience in the following areas: essay writing, academic research paper writing, SAT test preparation (verbal), English grammar, proofreading and editing, and literature. I have taught hundreds of students over the years and enjoy doing so.

Although my college degrees and experience as a teacher and tutor serve as my professional qualifications, they are not what make me a successful tutor. I have been told by my students that I am very approachable and that I am "easy to talk to," but I believe the reasons so many of my first-time clients choose to return to me for assistance is the immediate improvement brought about by our time working together. So, what can you expect from your first tutoring session with me?
Unless you are under a very limited time constraint or assignment deadline, our first meeting will begin with a brief assessment of your strengths and weaknesses so that I may better assist you. It will also reveal something about your own unique learning style. Most importantly, this brief assessment will result in the most efficient use of our time together.
