About Ben
I graduated from the University of Illinois with a 3.76 gpa with a bachelors in history. Most of my coursework focused on ancient history, us history, and political science and as an undergrad I tutored fellow students in all of these subjects. I then worked for 3 years as a historian for the Army Corps of Engineers working on the protection of historical and cultural sites.

To understand the world we live in today, we have to explore how we got here. From current events to politics to geography, everything is influenced by the past. I find that history is best explored through subjects that interest you and with the breadth and depth of human experience, I’m convinced there’s some sort of history relevant/engaging to EVERYONE….whether they know it or not. My areas of expertise are US and world history (with an emphasis on the Ancient world)
