About Zara
I'm a Creative Writing university student and former journalist. I've interviewed Nobel Prize nominees and have had my writing published in a fair number of books, including an anthology at The British Library.
There's nothing quite like that a-ha moment when a student begins to understand something they have been struggling with. I want to instil in students my love for the English language and empower them to reach their goals.

I’m an English tutor with experience working in elementary schools in London. In my role as a teaching assistant, I was responsible for helping learners with not only their classwork but also with facilitating speech and language workshops for some students.
Prior to beginning lessons, we will discuss goals and the sequence of work so that everyone is on the same page. Every student has a different learning style which I take into account when tailoring my lessons. My approach is to inspire learners by making the work fun by including word games and other innovative techniques in each session to get the most out of students.
I'm here to help learners reach their goals, from understanding the nuances of meaning and phrasing to the broader assimilation of the content so they are ready to ace their assessments.
Sessions typically last 1-2 hours and are available to school students of all ages.
