About Hunt

I am a philosophy teacher, a writer, a former Zen monk, and a homeless services provider. How do we live joyful, creative, meaningful lives? Spinoza would say, not through judgment but understanding.
Join me for a practice-oriented, personalized approach to philosophy!

About the lesson

Philosophy begins in a state of bewilderment about the state of things. One way of responding to bewilderment is despair and self-destruction. Another way is through understanding.

Philosophy is about developing a calm, contemplative, open stance that allows one to understand rather than react to the world, and then to act in a way that increases well-being.

My teaching approach is conversational, relaxed, and tailored to your questions and goals.
