About Jacques
I am a lecturer of global studies at California State University, Monterey Bay. I also speak Arabic, English, and French, and can provide tutoring services in the latter two languages owning to my ESL certification and bachelor's degree in French.

My teaching method involves a type of flipped classroom wherein the student/s do most of the speaking while I guide with initial and follow-up questions. I find that a discussion-based, live forum leads to the best learning outcomes. When students are explaining what they have learned and their points of view, they are processing what they have learned; respectful discussion and Devil's advocates are welcome in my classroom. I also share my opinion and ask for feedback or potential solutions.
