About Daniel
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from The University of British Columbia with significant course work in French, including two semesters at L'université de Montréal and L'université de Québec à Chicoutimi. I hold a Cambridge English Language Teaching Accreditation (CELTA) and I was a potential candidate for The Rhodes Scholarship. I have taught French and English at private language schools in the south of France and in Paris. Most recently, I worked as a bilingual children's theatre performer for The Nearly World Famous Duffle Bag Theatre where I toured to schools across Canada. As narrator in these performances my job was to bring up students from the audience and lead them through acting out the main roles in interactive bilingual versions of popular children's fairy tales, such as Cinderella (ou Cendrillion), The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) and Robin Hood (Robin des Bois).

I cater my lesson to the needs of each individual student basing my methodology on their interests and motivations. My teacher training through CELTA is largely based around the idea of full immersion with a heavy focus on oral communication. From experience, however, I have discovered that many students come to lessons with different needs. Whether you are looking for help with your grades at school, or passionate about developing full fluency, drawing from a variety of different sources, I design my lesson plans around you as an individual.
