About Emily
I have gained my experience teaching both individual sessions and classrooms in the south of France. Recently, I gained a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), with which I have learned invaluable techniques and methodology for effective study.
I am a product of the Scottish system and so am familiar with how languages are taught in school and university. I also know the standard exam requirements and can offer tuition that is geared specifically towards effective exam technique.
My experience has taught me the value of creating a comfortable and non-pressured environment in which to teach languages, and this has proved effective, with my students all having passed their language exams with A grades and, more importantly, confidence in their ability.

In my lessons, I use my teaching experience combined with my enthusiasm and patience to create a comfortable working environment, deconstructing the subject matter in a way that removes the stress, confusion and fear.
My method of teaching is primarily organised around the student's specific needs, however, at a general level I teach them the particular skill they wish to improve, punctuated by vocabulary improvement and routine revision of the most important grammar points.
As a student of languages for many years, I understand the pressure of communicating I have been very proud to see magnificent results in both confidence and ability in my students.
