About Camden
My passion for French began with an appreciation for its expressive sound and cultural richness. This led me to pursue a B.A. in French Studies and an M.A. in Multilingual Education. Over 7 years, I have guided learners of various backgrounds in developing fluency, comprehension, and confidence in French, combining structured instruction with interactive, engaging lessons. I emphasize practical communication, cultural exposure, and steady skill-building, tailoring lessons to meet the needs and interests of each student. My approach encourages learners to ask questions, practice actively, and develop fluency with confidence. I aim to make language learning both effective and enjoyable. Outside teaching, I continue exploring French literature, media, and cultural trends to enrich lessons with authentic content. Teaching French is fulfilling because I witness students gain mastery, confidence, and cultural awareness, making their language experience meaningful and rewarding.

Beginners focus on basic greetings, simple sentence structures, essential vocabulary, and pronunciation exercises. Intermediate learners refine grammar, sentence flow, vocabulary expansion, and conversational fluency. Advanced students focus on nuanced expression, idiomatic usage, sophisticated writing, listening comprehension, and cultural knowledge. Each lesson integrates corrective feedback and practical application to ensure learners develop both skill and confidence.
The goal of my French lessons is to create students who communicate fluently, accurately, and confidently while appreciating the richness of French language and culture. Students develop independence, expressive ability, and curiosity that extends beyond the classroom, fostering long-term engagement with the language.
