About Kyra
My passion for French emerged from a deep interest in language, literature, and Francophone cultures. I earned a B.A. in French Language and Cultural Studies, which provided me with a solid foundation in grammar, literature, linguistics, and cultural understanding. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided students of various ages and proficiency levels, helping them achieve fluency, accuracy, and cultural insight in their use of French.
I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and adaptability, tailoring lessons to individual learning styles and goals. My methodology emphasizes meaningful engagement, interactive practice, and cultural immersion. I focus not only on linguistic proficiency but also on helping learners develop the confidence to express themselves naturally and effectively in both casual and formal situations.
Outside the classroom, I actively engage with French literature, media, and contemporary culture. This allows me to provide fresh examples and real-world relevance in lessons. Teaching French is deeply rewarding because I witness learners gain fluency, cultural understanding, and the self-assurance to communicate confidently in diverse contexts, making language learning both practical and enjoyable.
