About Kristyn

Hi!
I'm Kristyn, a bilingual elementary school teacher with a passion for helping children discover just how capable they really are.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach English as a second language, English Language Arts, French as a second language, and Mathematics across various grade levels. My experience includes working as a classroom teacher, a subject specialist, and a resource teacher, supporting students with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. I have equally tutored students needing a little extra help.

I understand that school doesn't always come easy to every child, and that's okay. I believe that a little patience, the right approach and someone who genuinely believes in them can make all the difference.

Outside of teaching, I am a mom, so I understand the importance in knowing that your child is learning in a supportive, encouraging environment.

I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them find their own path to success!

About the lesson

I believe that every child learns differently, and that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable, confident, and encouraged to try.
As an experienced elementary school teacher, I bring years of classroom experience teaching English, FSL and Mathematics. My approach to tutoring is patient, engaging and tailored to each child's individual needs, strengths and learning styles.
I begin by getting to know each student, identifying areas where they may need extra support, building lessons around their specific goals. My sessions combine clear explanations, guided practice, interactive activities and plenty of positive encouragement.
Whether your child needs help catching up, strengthening foundational skills, completing homework or building confidence in the classroom, my goal is to make learning feel approachable and rewarding.
I work with elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade six and strive to create a welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.
Above all, I want students to leave their sessions feeling a little more capable, a little more confident, and proud of what they have accomplished.
