About Navya
As a dedicated tutor with a strong background in Math and English, I am committed to providing personalized support that meets your individual needs. Going through school, I definitely felt like there were times where I needed extra help. Because of tutoring services, I was able to get help and excel in my classes. Now I want to be able to give back and help out a young learner like you!
I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and my goal is to foster an environment where you feel comfortable and motivated to reach your academic goals. Throughout high school, I worked as a tutor in a Math and Reading center for 3 years. Because of my experience, I am able to create a successful learning environment.

Homework-Based Approach: I begin by assessing the student’s current schoolwork, identifying areas of struggle or confusion, and focusing on these concepts. This ensures that we’re tackling their immediate needs while reinforcing school learning.
Personalized Sessions: Each session is tailored to the student’s learning style and pace. I adapt explanations to be more visual, verbal, or hands-on depending on what resonates with the student. I also ask the student to send me concepts/homework they are struggling with so I can prepare a lesson plan ahead of time.
Active Learning: I engage students in problem-solving and critical thinking rather than just passive listening. This could involve discussing math problems step-by-step or breaking down language concepts with examples and exercises.
Interactive & Fun: For younger students, I incorporate interactive methods to make learning more enjoyable, especially for concepts that might feel tedious. I also like to give students minute long brain breaks so they are able to digest the information.
