About Lau
Hi! My name is Lau, and I’m a friendly and dedicated college student who is passionate about helping others improve their English. My approach to teaching English is friendly, patient, and focused on making students feel comfortable speaking. I believe the best way to learn a language is through conversation and practice, so I encourage students to speak as much as possible while I help them improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and confidence.
A typical lesson starts with a short conversation or warm up so I can understand the student’s goals and identify areas they would like to improve. We then focus on a specific topic or skill through conversation, examples, and interactive activities. At the end of the lesson, I review what we worked on and provide helpful feedback and new words or phrases the student can practice.
What sets me apart is that I am a college student myself, so I understand what it is like to learn, ask questions, and build confidence in a new skill. I want my lessons to feel more like a comfortable conversation with someone who genuinely wants to help you improve rather than a traditional classroom.
My lessons are suitable for students who want to improve their everyday English, conversation skills, pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking confidence. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I can adapt lessons to your level, interests, and personal goals.
