About Alexandra
I have been a tutor (in London) for the past two years. I taught a pupil who was from Italy, with English being her second language, and helped her achieve an A* in her English Literature and English Language iGCSE. I am currently teaching a pupil who is dyslexic GCSE English.
I have a degree in English and Related Literature, and I am so enthused by everything to do with literature and interpretation. I am always reading in my spare time. One of the greatest moments of tutoring is when your pupil comes up with an original idea that is so interesting and could be expanded upon.

I am a graduate of the University of York, achieving a high 2:1 in English and Related Literature and a First in my dissertation. I excelled in my English Literature and History A-Level, the latter helped provide me with context and historical background to Literature, and achieved 100% in my English Literature IGCSE.
As Literature is such a subjective topic, I am open to any interpretation and love originality, but in my lessons, I aim to teach my students the critical and theoretical basis for them to be able to argue their interpretation and ideas with evidence and to be able to justify their thoughts with clarity.
