About Kathleen
Hi, I’m Katy — a kind, patient, and encouraging English tutor who believes that everyone deserves to feel confident when learning. I know how intimidating it can be to speak a new language, especially if you’ve ever been corrected harshly or made to feel embarrassed in the past. That’s why my teaching style is gentle, supportive, and focused on helping you grow without fear.
I’m a native English speaker with a strong understanding of grammar, conversation, and real-world communication. I love helping students not only learn English, but truly understand how to use it in daily life — whether that’s speaking at work, writing emails, traveling, or simply having conversations with confidence.
What makes me different is that I genuinely care about how you feel while learning. I take the time to listen, adapt to your needs, and create a space where you feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again. My students don’t just learn English — they gain confidence in themselves.
