About Liam
Welcome to my Tutoring page, I am Liam and would like to thank you for considering me as a tutor.
Here is little bit about me and my experience. I am a qualified teacher with many years experience tutoring. Since September 2021 I have delivered over 200 hours A-Level tuition within the social sciences.
Over the course of 2020/2021 I worked on the National Tutoring Programme delivering tutoring support to Key stage 3 and 4 students on a range of science topics as well as revision sessions.
Before this I worked delivering Groupwork sessions to adults in relation to Mental Health, Addiction and Psychoeducation. I have studied psychological approaches up to master’s Level. This means I have experience of delivering education to individuals with Mental Health conditions including Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Personality Disorders and OCD. I am experienced working with young people and adults who self-harm, have eating disorders or suffer with problematic substance misuse. I take a non-judgemental, adaptable, innovative and evidence-based approach with all individuals I work with. I have delivered Motivational Interviewing and Psycho Social Interventions to adults and young people.
For 10 years I worked directly in Education within roles such as Mentor, Youth Worker, Basic Skills Tutor, Badminton Coach and Engagement worker. I delivered a range of sessions for students in different settings. I worked to improve GCSE results with a cohort of students in History and Science. I also worked extensively with students with Special Educational Needs both one to one and in groups. I have achieved improved results with students with ADHD, Autism, EBD, Learning difficulties, Physical Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury and issues with motor skills.
