About Jade
Jade is a Brighton- based cellist and music teacher. She was awarded Scholarships to and studied at Royal Holloway, University of London, the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She offers private cello lessons and music tuition from her studio in Portslade or online. She teaches pupils of all ages and lesson’s are tailored to each students needs and desires. She has a holistic approach, encompassing all aspects of musicality, and students learn to express themselves whilst building a secure technical foundation, learning music theory and developing their aural skills.
A typical lesson will cover:
Cello technique from beginner to advanced
Anatomy and physiology of playing, encompassing some practice from Alexander Technique
Musical expression and performance through repertoire study
Guidance for practice and how to practice
Notation, sight-reading and theory
Aural training
In addition to teaching the cello, she can also provide support to those undertaking music theory, GCSE or A Level exams.
