About Philipa
I've been a Director Of Learning For English for over 20 years. I am an ofsted rated outstanding teacher with outstanding exam results and a forensic knowledge of what's expected at each level. I have taught igcse, gcse, KS3 and A level for over 20 years.
I am currently in charge of Teaching and learning and have a passion for disseminating evidence based research on the best ways to help children learn. I work a lot with students who hope to achieve the highest possible grades and am a huge advocate of lessons being pitched as high as possible and then scaffolded down. I also enjoy working with students who struggle with structuring their writing and need help with their syntax construction.
