About Jennifer
Hello!
I have taught oboe and music theory at the London Oratory School in Fulham for the past ten years, and now I am hoping to expand my private teaching closer to home in Croydon.
As well as teaching I can often be found playing for shows like Wicked in London, and I am a member of the orchestra of the English National Ballet. I regularly perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players and many others. My main instrument professionally is the oboe but I have Grade 8 in recorder and would love to teach this as well as it is such a good way to include younger children.
I have a good track record of getting kids through their Grade 5 Theory as painlessly as possible, so if this might be helpful to you do get in touch.

I learnt to play the oboe as an adult from Jenny. She was a very able and committed oboe teacher who always tried to accommodate to my limited available time for lessons. As well as playing the oboe, I learnt music theory from her. Lessons with Jenny inspired my continuing passion for classical music!
